The dastardly King Rat tries to rob our young Dick, but he is saved by a friendly pussy, who immediately becomes his very best friend. They find themselves in the employ as the Groomer family, where Dick falls in love with the young daughter, little Fanny. After his luck takes a turn for the worst, he follows his love on to a pirate ship at the docks, and to adventures new.
